Rod Laver Arena | 11 p.m. TuesdayAndrey Rublev vs. Daniil MedvedevAndrey Rubley and Daniil Medvedev secured the ATP Cup for Russia earlier this month, with neither player losing a singles match throughout. In their three meetings on the ATP Tour, Medvedev has come out on top each time, including in the quarterfinals of the U.S. Open in September. This may be Rublev’s chance to finally overcome his friendly rival. He has looked particularly dominant, not dropping a set throughout the tournament. His match against Casper Ruud ended after only two sets when the Norwegian withdrew with an injury. Going into the quarterfinals, Rublev has led the field in both percentage of first service points won and second service points won, a sign of how hard it has been for opponents to break his serve.Medvedev has also been playing well, aside from a chaotic, disorganized third round match against Filip Krajinovic. He has now won 18 matches in a row, with his last loss coming in October at a tournament in Vienna. Although the fast surface fits Medvedev’s flat baseline shots, Rublev’s open stance is well suited in defense, and we’re sure to see many dynamic, aggressive point.Rod Laver Arena | 3:30 a.m. WednesdayRafael Nadal vs. Stefanos TsitsipasRafael Nadal, the No. 2 seed, has moved smoothly through the first four rounds, no surprise for a player with 20 Grand Slam titles. Although Nadal won his only Australian Open title over a decade ago, he has reached the finals on four other occasions since, and is a clear favorite in his half of the draw to do so again. Nadal’s powerful topspin shots are well-suited to clay courts where he can drag opponents around with tightly angled shots. Nadal’s ability to exploit his opponent’s weaknesses with relentless pressure can break most players on their best days.Stefanos Tsitsipas, the ATP finals winner in 2019, is a study in unpredictability. The fifth seed has a capable all-court game, but lacks the consistency to execute match after match. The 22-year-old has worked to improve this aspect of his game, but needed five sets to push back unseeded Thanasi Kokkinakis in the second round. After receiving a walkover in the round of 16, Tsitsipas will be well rested and hoping for an advantage against one of the most mentally tough players on tour.

Here are four cricket betting tips that Guy Giles thinks you should consider for the BBL 10 match between Perth Scorchers and Sydney Thunder on Saturday.
Sydney Thunder to win
The Thunder have been the best team in the competition so far, winning six of their first eight matches, so are worth backing as slight underdogs here.
The Scorchers have recovered from a horrid start to win their last three on the bounce, but lost to Sydney by seven wickets earlier in the tournament.
Callum Ferguson to score over 22.5 runs
Ferguson has had a solid tournament for the Thunder, amassing 244 runs in eight matches to sit sixth in the runs table.
The Sydney skipper has passed this mark in five of those eight innings, including an unbeaten 61 against Perth in December.
Josh Inglis to score over 19.5 runs
Inglis has hit some form after a poor start to BBL 10, passing this mark in each of his last three innings.
He looks a good bet to continue that form on Saturday.
Tanveer Sangha to take over 1.5 wickets
Sangha continues to take wickets on a regular basis for the Thunder, claiming 15 so far to sit joint-top among all bowlers.
He has taken at least two scalps in four of his last five matches.

MANILA, Philippines — Chot Reyes is keeping his expectations modest ahead of his second tour of duty as head coach of TNT.
Reyes is the franchise’s winningest coach, having led Talk ’N Text to four titles during his first stint from 2008 to 2012.
“It’s not going to be easy. I know a lot of fans are saying a lot of good things, but this is not going to be a walk in the park, it’s not going to be an instant thing,” said Reyes on Monday in an episode of The Game.

Reyes, 57, replaced head coach Bong Ravena and active consultant Mark Dickel at the helm.
“I just want to make sure that we manage expectations because the competition as we all know is very, very tough and everyone is getting better,” added the eight-time PBA champion and five-time Coach of the Year. “So you know, simply changing the coach is not a magic formula, it’s not automatic. You really, really have to work like we’ve never worked before.”
But the pressure will be on Reyes, who will be tasked to end the Tropang Giga’s long title drought.
TNT hasn’t won a title since the 2015 Commissioner’s Cup under Jong Uichico.
Led by Roger Pogoy, Ray Parks and Jayson Castro, the Tropang Giga made as far as the finals in last season’s Philippine Cup bubble where they lost to the Barangay Ginebra Gin Kings in five games.

Let me give you some valuable background info first: I live at home with my Dad & my girlfriend (she’s between houses). They’re both my best friends. I am currently going through a chronic pain type disorder that appeared in both wrists & forearms since July 2020. In & out of appointments/checks every fortnight. I am unable to do much in my day, it hurts to do normal things in my day – so I am unable to work or study anymore. Painkillers are not helping. Thursday was the day, the day I basically lost my entire life savings. Since then, I’ve been using every single dollar I can get my hands on to recover this loss & I’m sure you know where I’m at now. $8 in debt & unemployed with no income. But how did I get here? I got caught gambling when I was 17/18, lost all my money then too but it was less than $1000 (my Dad was the only one who knew). Since then, I vowed to never gamble again & I didn’t until 2 weeks ago. My Dad & I were watching the cricket & he placed a $100 multi (he rarely gambles) & won $450. We both thought this was great so I put in $50 myself for the next game. I ended up losing $25 & won it back in the darts later on. I then decided to move on & not do any more as my girlfriend of 2 years (the one I’ll marry) did not approve of me gambling again. So I stopped – until my Dad persuaded me to lie & just gamble anyway behind her back. It was innocent losses, $5-$10 here & there for the next 2 weeks. It wasn’t until last week, the day after my girlfriend’s birthday, that everything went downhill. She had to work Wed & Thu which left me to be alone for 2 days. I was very down in the dumps & just felt like I had all this money & didn’t use it (which is the stupidest thing ever, I know). So I started gambling on the races. With high $1000 bets & spent hours & hours, got up $10k then back down to $5k before I bet my whole bank to get back where I started at $15k. I stopped, went in my room & realised what I did, I almost lost my ENTIRE bank. Did I stop there? Nope, you guessed it. Eventually, one thing led to another & now I’m $15k down & $9 in debt. I confessed everything to my girlfriend & Dad on Thursday. Which they were both very supportive. I had $2000 in my bank then & said I’d stop. But I didn’t, Iost $1500 yesterday & $500 today. So yes in $9 debt. Although I do not have an addiction (oddly enough I studied psychology for 2 years before this chronic pain stopped me), I have definitely fallen into the trap of gambling once again & I only risked losing my last $2000 to not win the money back, but rather I looked at it as an outlet to make money so I can provide my girlfriend & I with a future. But this was such a bad mindset to approach everything. $9 in debt. I am stopping here. I vow to, right here, right now. I have not told my girlfriend or Dad about the last $2000, but I think I will hang onto this one for now as I can make that back in selling some of my collectables that have been collecting profit over the years. So thank god for that at least. Additionally, I may receive a pension for my condition so if that’s approved, must lock my money away. I had to get all this out & it has put me in an awful lot of PHYSICAL pain to even write this due to my chronic pain condition. I don’t expect anyone to read this all as this is rather for me. Thank you. C. submitted by /u/codesfrost [comments]

Here are four cricket betting tips that Adam Drury thinks you should consider for the BBL 10 match between Sydney Sixers and Brisbane Heat on Sunday.
Joe Burns to score over 18.5 runs
Burns has recovered his form for the Heat since being dropped from the Australia Test team earlier this month.
He has scored 52 and 22* in his last two innings, so this looks like a very low runs line.
Max Bryant to score over 18.5 runs
Bryant has also impressed for the Heat, passing this mark in four of his last five innings.
The opener has reached double figures in all eight of his Big Bash innings this season, so getting close to even money on him reaching 19 looks a fantastic bet.
Jack Edwards to score over 18.5 runs
We complete our assault on the 18.5 runs line by backing Sixers opener Edwards to pass it.
The 20-year-old has not been as consistent as the Heat batsmen named above, but hit an impressive 44 last time out and has reached double figures in his last four innings.
Mujeeb Ur Rahman to be Brisbane Heat’s top wicket-taker
Mujeeb has taken at least one wicket in six of his seven BBL appearances this season.
He would have won us some profit in this market on two of his last four appearances, including when he took an outstanding five-fer against the Hurricanes.

Basketball great Michael Jordan on Monday pledged $10 million to help build two medical clinics for uninsured and underinsured communities in his hometown of Wilmington, North Carolina.
The clinics are slated to open in early 2022.
Jordan, who grew up and attended high school in Wilmington, had previously donated $7 million to set up family clinics in Charlotte to support vulnerable communities.
“I am very proud to once again partner with Novant Health to expand the Family Clinic model to bring better access to critical medical services in my hometown,” Jordan, 57, said in a statement.
“Everyone should have access to quality health care, no matter where they live, or whether or not they have insurance. Wilmington holds a special place in my heart and it’s truly gratifying to be able to give back to the community that supported me throughout my life.”
In June, Jordan had pledged $100 million over the course of the next decade to organizations dedicated to ensuring racial equality.
Jordan, a six-time NBA champion who led the Chicago Bulls’ dynasty in the 1990s, is a Basketball Hall of Famer who owns the Charlotte Hornets.

Jamie O’Connor consoled himself after a miserable performance by his beloved Leeds United by taking down the partypoker Big Game for $41,417.
O’Connor was a special guest on the popular APAT Show and juggled answering question with battling foes in partypoker’s $530 buy-in The Big Game. Some 482 players turned out for this week’s tournament and created a $234,150 prize pool, $34,150 more than the advertised guarantee.
The top 79 players received a slice of the pie and there were plenty of British and Irish star among the in-the-money finishers.
Ben Jones, Benjamin McMenemy, Justin Dunk, Paul Vas Nunes, and Connor Morrison all cashed, the latter falling in 11th place for $3,024.
Jamie Nixon reached the final table but crashed out in ninth for $3,844, which left O’Connor as the only Union Jack sporting players in the field. O’Connor swept aside his opposition, including Rui Da Silva heads-up, to bank a $41,417 prize.

We also had a double win in the partypoker Big Games because Roberto Romanello reached the final table of the $2,600 High Roller Big Game. Romanello, however, fell in sixth-place for a $12,398 addition to his bankroll.
There’s every chance a British star will be $184,507 richer over the next couple of days because both Tom Madonald and Will Kassouf find themselves in the top 12 chip counts going into Day 2 of the MILLIONS Online Mini Main Event. Day 2 takes place on February 15 and will see the 169 returning players reduced to the final table of nine.

888poker proved to be a happy hunting ground for our players, especially in the $33 Sunday BIG Fish where Mike “HyperX.” Skeldon came out on top of a 986-strong field to lock up the title and $5,625 in prize money.
Two of our players reached the final table of the $30,000 Sunday Challenge PKO, too. Ben “xLIVEPROx” Warrington’s tournament ended in a sixth-place finish worth $839 while “babos87” collected $1,769 for their fourth-place exit; both scores include bounty payments.
Four of our players made it to the final table of the $100,000 Sunday Mega Deep but, sadly, none of them could quite get the job done.
Nick “hattie009” Cappleman crashed out in ninth for $1,480 with “M10FOG” and “casual_win” banking $2,620 and $3,520 for their seventh and sixth-place finishes. “needabridge” came agonisingly close to victory but ultimately had to make do with a second-place finish worth $11,900.

PokerStars produced some big scores with two British star banking more than $86,000 from the $1,050 Sunday High Roller alone.
Jonathan “Proudflop” Proudfoot and “13shaun” found themselves in the top five spots with the majority of the 322-strong field fallen by the wayside. David “Missoracle” Yan crashed out in fifth for $19,093 and it looked like the English duo could go all the way.
That was until Proudfoot busted in fourth for £25,482.
Team partypoker’s Dzmitry “Colisea” Urbanovich could only muster a third-place finish worth $34,009, which left 13shaun and “Grozzorg” of Austria as the last players standing. 13Shaun claimed the victory for the UK, which came with a $60,576 payout. Check out the Betway Insider’s NHL picks and predictions page for best bets throughout the 2020-21 NHL season.
5. Dylan Cozens | C | Buffalo Sabres
Drafted seventh overall in the 2019 NHL Draft, Cozens has been honing his game in the minors for the Lethbridge Hurricanes in recent seasons.
Coming off a 2019-20 campaign in which he scored 85 points in just 51 games in the WHL, there is a good chance that the Canadian prospect will make an impact in the NHL in the coming months.
Cozens possesses both the power and the speed to compete immediately, with his all-round game coming along hugely in the last year.
He might not be as exciting to watch as some of the other players on this list, but don’t be surprised if Cozens looks more at home in the NHL than some other up-and-comers.
4. Bowen Byram | D | Colorado Avalanche
Selected fourth overall in the 2019 Entry Draft, Byram is another prospect who has been playing in the WHL in preparation for his big-league debut.
Byram is coming into the 2020-21 NHL season having co-captained Canada – alongside Cozens – to a silver medal at the IIHF World Junior Championships.
The defenseman is exceptionally quick and shines brightest when playing high-tempo, high-power hockey – something he should find in Denver.
Byram is also a highly-skilled handler and can contribute heavily on offense – he scored 52 points in 50 games for the Vancouver Giants last year – with his vision allowing him to shift the momentum of the game in an instant.
3. Kirill Kaprizov | LW | Minnesota Wild
Kaprizov is set apart from the other players on this list by his extensive professional experience, as he arrives for his debut NHL season on the back of six years in the KHL.
In October 2019, the wing became the youngest player in KHL history to reach the milestone of 100 goals, ending last season with 33 goals and 29 assists.
That also means Kaprizov enters the NHL as the reigning two-time scoring champion of Russian hockey, and the Wild will be hoping he can hit the ice running in 2020-21.
Kaprizov’s speed and handling make him hard to knock off the puck, while his elite scoring ability should make him a star in the State of Hockey.
2. Trevor Zegras | C/W | Anaheim Ducks
Selected ninth overall in the 2019 Draft, Zegras has since progressed to become one of the top prospects in the NHL.
The hallmark of his game is his dynamic passing, with Zegras able to use his body movement and elite handling skills to suck in defenders and unleash pinpoint feeds across the ice.
Don’t sleep on his finishing, though, with his speed regularly putting him into scoring positions and his quick shot allowing him to round moves off.
Zegras isn’t afraid to take risks, which can sometimes backfire, but Ducks fans shouldn’t be put off by that – they pay off more often than not.
The two-way forward is also coming off a starring role for champions USA in the World Junior Championships, scoring one and assisting the other in their 2-0 win over Canada in the final.
1. Alexis Lafreniere | LW | New York Rangers
The only player on this list to come out of the 2020 Draft, top pick Lafreniere is undoubtedly heading straight into the big leagues.
Lafreniere is almost unanimously seen as the best prospect that hockey has seen for many years, and enters the NHL as one of the most decorated junior players in recent memory.
A two-time winner of the CHL MVP Award, Lafreniere amassed 297 points in three seasons for Rimouski Oceanic before going first in last year’s draft.
A high-impact forward, Lafreniere’s skills are well-documented, meaning it is easy to forget the physicality that should allow him to make an immediate impression for the Rangers in 2020-21.

Tennis – Australian Open – Melbourne Park, Melbourne, Australia, February 15, 2021 Jessica Pegula of the U.S. celebrates winning her fourth round match against Ukraine’s Elina Svitolina REUTERS/Kelly Defina
MELBOURNE – Jessica Pegula continued her dream run at the Australian Open on Monday with a 6-4 3-6 6-3 win over fifth seed Elina Svitolina to set up an all-American quarterfinal against Jennifer Brady, who beat Croatia’s Donna Vekic in straight sets.
Pegula struggled badly in the second set at Rod Laver Arena but regrouped in the decider, breaking former Wimbledon and U.S. Open semifinalist Svitolina in the fourth game before locking down her first win over a top 10 opponent.
Matching Svitolina’s power off the baseline, Pegula rushed the net to knock her opponent off her stride and sealed the win on the first match point when the Ukrainian netted a return.
Pegula, who considered giving up tennis after being sidelined for long spells due to knee and hip injuries earlier in her career, will play her good friend Brady for a place in the semis after the 25-year-old beat Vekic 6-1 7-5.
“Jen is an awesome person,” Pegula told a news conference. “She was texting me, ‘I’m so happy, I’m so proud. This is awesome’.
“We’ve all been pushing each other. Why not push each other into a quarter-final, then one of us be in the semis?”
Vekic was hampered by an injury to her right leg and took a medical timeout at the start of the second set after being blitzed by Brady in the opener.
She emerged with fresh strapping above and below her knee and though she managed to take the fight to Brady in the second set the Croatian was barely moving in the final two games.
With the score tied at 5-5 Vekic surrendered her serve to love, a double fault handing Brady the chance to serve for the match.
The American made no mistake, sealing victory when her opponent fluffed a forehand.
