Online poker tournaments are massive on Sundays and this fact along brings out the game’s best players. Michael Addamo, Timothy Adams, and Justin Bonomo are just three of those stellar names who managed to take down a Sunday major this weekend.
Addamo Takes Down GGPoker Sunday 500 High Rollers $5,250
Michael Addamo enjoyed a super Sunday courtesy of triumphing in the Sunday 500 High Rollers $5,250, a tournament that attracted 113 of the world’s best players to the GGPoker virtual felt.
Addamo’s first bullet didn’t go to plan and he crashed out in 76th place. He re-entered and put used his new stack to full effect.
The likes of Kristen Bicknell, Matthias Eibinger, Elio Fox, Benjamin Rolle, and Anatoly Filatov busted inside the money places but before the star-studded final table.
Austria’s “Filip1” was the final table’s first casualty. Their ninth-place exit awarding a $14,833 prize.
Alex Foxen and David Yan then busted. Yan would go on to take down Sunday High Rollers Bounty King $3,150 for $49,300 later in the evening.
The exits of Michael Zhang, Aleksei Barkov, Pascal Hartmann, and David Peters left Addamo heads-up against Wiktor Malinowski. Addamo rarely loses when he’s heads-up and that was the case again here. Addamo collected $131,187 for his victory while Malinowski banked $99,898 for his runner-up finish.
Defeating Malinowski will go some way to making up for losing a massive $842,000 cash game pot last year.

Adams Takes Down High Rollers Blade Prime $2,625
Timothy Adams’ latest victory came in the High Rollers Blade Prime $2,625, an event that saw 80 players buy in.
All but two of the players who navigated their way to the final table walked away with five-figures hauls. Fedor Holz and Andrii Novak being that duo.
“LeoJose” fell in seventh and was joined on the rail first by Artur Martirosian, then by Urmo Velvelt, Rainer Kempe, and China’s Kevin Pu.
This left Adams, on his one and only bullet, heads-up against Arsneii Malinov. Malinov fell at the final hurdle and scooped $36,565, which left Adams to add the $46,885 top prize to his GGPoker account.

Chot on TNT coaching return: ‘It’s not going to be easy’

MANILA, Philippines — Chot Reyes is keeping his expectations modest ahead of his second tour of duty as head coach of TNT.
Reyes is the franchise’s winningest coach, having led Talk ’N Text to four titles during his first stint from 2008 to 2012.
“It’s not going to be easy. I know a lot of fans are saying a lot of good things, but this is not going to be a walk in the park, it’s not going to be an instant thing,” said Reyes on Monday in an episode of The Game.

Reyes, 57, replaced head coach Bong Ravena and active consultant Mark Dickel at the helm.
“I just want to make sure that we manage expectations because the competition as we all know is very, very tough and everyone is getting better,” added the eight-time PBA champion and five-time Coach of the Year. “So you know, simply changing the coach is not a magic formula, it’s not automatic. You really, really have to work like we’ve never worked before.”
But the pressure will be on Reyes, who will be tasked to end the Tropang Giga’s long title drought.
TNT hasn’t won a title since the 2015 Commissioner’s Cup under Jong Uichico.
Led by Roger Pogoy, Ray Parks and Jayson Castro, the Tropang Giga made as far as the finals in last season’s Philippine Cup bubble where they lost to the Barangay Ginebra Gin Kings in five games.

The Pros and Cons of Making a Living From Poker

ผู้ชนะการประชุมสุดยอด WSOP ประจำปี 2018
February 16, 2021 0 Comments

If you enjoy poker, making a living from playing this game seems like living the dream.

Do something you love, and it will never feel like work.

But, before you go all in, you should be aware of all of the pros and cons that come with playing poker for a living.
If you’re considering getting more serious about your potential poker career, here are some of the most prominent advantages and disadvantages that come with being a professional poker player.
The Advantages of Playing Poker for a Living
You Own Your Own Time
If you’re playing poker for a living, you’re effectively choosing your work hours. Being your own boss, especially in a career path such as this, means that you’re entirely free to tailor your own time and make the best of every day.
The hassle of working night shifts or waking up early every morning to drive to work won’t be a problem if you gown down this road.

Your “offices” are the online poker tables and live poker tournaments you choose to participate in.

Just keep in mind that you must maintain great discipline in such a job, as not to lose yourself in the flexibility and freedom of your own time.
No Salary Ceiling
The biggest reason most poker players want to go professional is the unlimited profit available for those who dare to claim it.
Although money shouldn’t be your primary motivator, it’s hard not to think about the multi-million prizes at the biggest poker tournaments in the world.
Even if you are just starting out playing online on real money poker sites, there are still countless options with prizes significantly more extensive than what most working people can earn in their day jobs.

Plus, the best part about this is that there’s no salary ceiling on how much you can bring home each month.
Living and Traveling Anywhere in the World
Another great advantage of playing poker for a living is that you can experience the feeling of always being on vacation while traveling for work and making money in the process.
If you plan on becoming a full-time poker player, you can look forward to frequently traveling to some of the biggest and most exciting cities in the world.

From Las Vegas and London to Barcelona and Monaco, you make your own schedule as packed or free as you wish.

Moreover, as a professional poker player, you have unlimited freedom in choosing a location where you want to settle down.
If you want to make your home in a sunny and warm place, you can select a popular poker destination such as the Caribbean.
This will allow you to enjoy endless summers while still being very close to some of the most popular and rewarding poker tournaments.
The Disadvantages of Playing Poker for a Living
No Guaranteed Income
The most significant benefit of a day job is that you know exactly how much money you’re earning every month.

When you switch up your day job for a professional poker career, this safety net disappears.

While it’s true that you’ll be able to win massive amounts of money potentially, there’s no telling when or even if this will come.
Instability of income is a typical tradeoff in many careers that offer a higher profit ceiling.
If you like playing it safe and can’t risk running a negative balance for a few weeks or months, pursuing a career in Texas Hold’em probably isn’t the best way to go.

That said, if you’re ready to accept the swings and have the mindset to handle the pressure of unstable earnings, you can turn this disadvantage into your advantage.
The Road to Success Can be Arduous
Watching Daniel Negreanu toy with his opponents makes it seem almost effortless. But, most of us forget that we’re watching the end result of years of studying the game and the psychology of their competitors.

All professional poker players have experienced great highs and lows throughout their long journey.

Don’t go into it thinking that it’s going a smooth ride all of the time. Confidence is a must-have, but you should continuously work on your skills to back this up.
Of course, some players have achieved great success in their first few years of playing the game, but these are outliers.
If you’re aiming to make poker your lifetime career, you need to arm yourself with patience and always remember that you’re in it for the long run, and variance will catch up with you eventually.
Stable Budget Needed to Start
Although poker offers you the opportunity to win a lot of money, you also need to have adequate starting capital before you even consider devoting all of your attention to the game.
The lack of money is one of the more significant reasons why most players don’t commit to playing poker professionally.
For many players, it can take years before they can get to a consistent level of winning in poker. If you don’t have the capital to start or a stable day job to cover your poker losses, you can quickly grow tired of the stress and grind.
It’s crucial to remember that success isn’t guaranteed and that you should never risk the money you can’t afford to lose. Learning good bankroll management is a must!

Are you Ready to Become a Professional Poker Player?
The hard truth is that not everyone is cut out to be a world-class poker player. But, with enough patience and work, you can make a great living from playing poker.
This is because, ultimately, the pros heavily outweigh the cons, and most players who truly commit to studying and learning the game can succeed in it.

If you’re passionate about poker and ready to put your energy into it, nothing is stopping you from making a career out of it.

To get some help on your path, check out the best poker training sites out there, as you’ll find plenty of great resources here.

Sydney Sixers v Brisbane Heat betting tips & predictions 10 01 21

ผู้ชนะการประชุมสุดยอด WSOP ประจำปี 2018
February 16, 2021 0 Comments

Here are four cricket betting tips that Adam Drury thinks you should consider for the BBL 10 match between Sydney Sixers and Brisbane Heat on Sunday.

Joe Burns to score over 18.5 runs
Burns has recovered his form for the Heat since being dropped from the Australia Test team earlier this month.
He has scored 52 and 22* in his last two innings, so this looks like a very low runs line.
Max Bryant to score over 18.5 runs
Bryant has also impressed for the Heat, passing this mark in four of his last five innings.
The opener has reached double figures in all eight of his Big Bash innings this season, so getting close to even money on him reaching 19 looks a fantastic bet.
Jack Edwards to score over 18.5 runs
We complete our assault on the 18.5 runs line by backing Sixers opener Edwards to pass it.
The 20-year-old has not been as consistent as the Heat batsmen named above, but hit an impressive 44 last time out and has reached double figures in his last four innings.
Mujeeb Ur Rahman to be Brisbane Heat’s top wicket-taker
Mujeeb has taken at least one wicket in six of his seven BBL appearances this season.
He would have won us some profit in this market on two of his last four appearances, including when he took an outstanding five-fer against the Hurricanes.

Basketball great Michael Jordan on Monday pledged $10 million to help build two medical clinics for uninsured and underinsured communities in his hometown of Wilmington, North Carolina.
The clinics are slated to open in early 2022.
Jordan, who grew up and attended high school in Wilmington, had previously donated $7 million to set up family clinics in Charlotte to support vulnerable communities.
“I am very proud to once again partner with Novant Health to expand the Family Clinic model to bring better access to critical medical services in my hometown,” Jordan, 57, said in a statement.
“Everyone should have access to quality health care, no matter where they live, or whether or not they have insurance. Wilmington holds a special place in my heart and it’s truly gratifying to be able to give back to the community that supported me throughout my life.”
In June, Jordan had pledged $100 million over the course of the next decade to organizations dedicated to ensuring racial equality.
Jordan, a six-time NBA champion who led the Chicago Bulls’ dynasty in the 1990s, is a Basketball Hall of Famer who owns the Charlotte Hornets.

Ranking the top five prospects for the 2020-21 NHL season

เคล็ดลับสำคัญสามประการในการเล่นโป๊กเกอร์แคริบเบียน
February 16, 2021 0 Comments

Check out the Betway Insider’s NHL picks and predictions page for best bets throughout the 2020-21 NHL season.
5. Dylan Cozens | C | Buffalo Sabres
Drafted seventh overall in the 2019 NHL Draft, Cozens has been honing his game in the minors for the Lethbridge Hurricanes in recent seasons.
Coming off a 2019-20 campaign in which he scored 85 points in just 51 games in the WHL, there is a good chance that the Canadian prospect will make an impact in the NHL in the coming months.
Cozens possesses both the power and the speed to compete immediately, with his all-round game coming along hugely in the last year.
He might not be as exciting to watch as some of the other players on this list, but don’t be surprised if Cozens looks more at home in the NHL than some other up-and-comers.
4. Bowen Byram | D | Colorado Avalanche
Selected fourth overall in the 2019 Entry Draft, Byram is another prospect who has been playing in the WHL in preparation for his big-league debut.
Byram is coming into the 2020-21 NHL season having co-captained Canada – alongside Cozens – to a silver medal at the IIHF World Junior Championships.
The defenseman is exceptionally quick and shines brightest when playing high-tempo, high-power hockey – something he should find in Denver.
Byram is also a highly-skilled handler and can contribute heavily on offense – he scored 52 points in 50 games for the Vancouver Giants last year – with his vision allowing him to shift the momentum of the game in an instant.
3. Kirill Kaprizov | LW | Minnesota Wild
Kaprizov is set apart from the other players on this list by his extensive professional experience, as he arrives for his debut NHL season on the back of six years in the KHL.
In October 2019, the wing became the youngest player in KHL history to reach the milestone of 100 goals, ending last season with 33 goals and 29 assists.
That also means Kaprizov enters the NHL as the reigning two-time scoring champion of Russian hockey, and the Wild will be hoping he can hit the ice running in 2020-21.
Kaprizov’s speed and handling make him hard to knock off the puck, while his elite scoring ability should make him a star in the State of Hockey.
2. Trevor Zegras | C/W | Anaheim Ducks
Selected ninth overall in the 2019 Draft, Zegras has since progressed to become one of the top prospects in the NHL.
The hallmark of his game is his dynamic passing, with Zegras able to use his body movement and elite handling skills to suck in defenders and unleash pinpoint feeds across the ice.
Don’t sleep on his finishing, though, with his speed regularly putting him into scoring positions and his quick shot allowing him to round moves off.
Zegras isn’t afraid to take risks, which can sometimes backfire, but Ducks fans shouldn’t be put off by that – they pay off more often than not.
The two-way forward is also coming off a starring role for champions USA in the World Junior Championships, scoring one and assisting the other in their 2-0 win over Canada in the final.
1. Alexis Lafreniere | LW | New York Rangers
The only player on this list to come out of the 2020 Draft, top pick Lafreniere is undoubtedly heading straight into the big leagues.
Lafreniere is almost unanimously seen as the best prospect that hockey has seen for many years, and enters the NHL as one of the most decorated junior players in recent memory.
A two-time winner of the CHL MVP Award, Lafreniere amassed 297 points in three seasons for Rimouski Oceanic before going first in last year’s draft.
A high-impact forward, Lafreniere’s skills are well-documented, meaning it is easy to forget the physicality that should allow him to make an immediate impression for the Rangers in 2020-21.

Tennis – Australian Open – Melbourne Park, Melbourne, Australia, February 15, 2021 Jessica Pegula of the U.S. celebrates winning her fourth round match against Ukraine’s Elina Svitolina REUTERS/Kelly Defina
MELBOURNE – Jessica Pegula continued her dream run at the Australian Open on Monday with a 6-4 3-6 6-3 win over fifth seed Elina Svitolina to set up an all-American quarterfinal against Jennifer Brady, who beat Croatia’s Donna Vekic in straight sets.
Pegula struggled badly in the second set at Rod Laver Arena but regrouped in the decider, breaking former Wimbledon and U.S. Open semifinalist Svitolina in the fourth game before locking down her first win over a top 10 opponent.
Matching Svitolina’s power off the baseline, Pegula rushed the net to knock her opponent off her stride and sealed the win on the first match point when the Ukrainian netted a return.
Pegula, who considered giving up tennis after being sidelined for long spells due to knee and hip injuries earlier in her career, will play her good friend Brady for a place in the semis after the 25-year-old beat Vekic 6-1 7-5.
“Jen is an awesome person,” Pegula told a news conference. “She was texting me, ‘I’m so happy, I’m so proud. This is awesome’.
“We’ve all been pushing each other. Why not push each other into a quarter-final, then one of us be in the semis?”
Vekic was hampered by an injury to her right leg and took a medical timeout at the start of the second set after being blitzed by Brady in the opener.
She emerged with fresh strapping above and below her knee and though she managed to take the fight to Brady in the second set the Croatian was barely moving in the final two games.
With the score tied at 5-5 Vekic surrendered her serve to love, a double fault handing Brady the chance to serve for the match.
The American made no mistake, sealing victory when her opponent fluffed a forehand.

I’ve got a problem

ผู้ชนะการประชุมสุดยอด WSOP ประจำปี 2018

Sorry for long post/vent in advance!Okay so for context, addiction is something I’m not a stranger to. It seems like a family trait that everyone has an addiction, mostly drugs or alcohol. But my mum loved gambling. The worst thing about it is, I got her into it when I was maybe 10.We played ‘harmless’ bingo games together on a holiday one time, im talking like pennies to play and win a Teddy bear. It was a nice time and a fond memory. But i was Internet savvy and when we got home I introduced her to the online kind as a way of playing together at home and have time between us, safe to say we did win with some beginners luck. It was fun for a while but as a kid I got quickly bored. I didn’t realise however I laid the seeds for my mums own addiction.I only realise now with hindsight how vulnerable to the thrill of it she would have been. I still hate myself to this day for what I did. She lost a lot of money, we lost a lot of Christmases. Couldn’t pay bills or buy food some weeks. She never quite forgave herself for all of this even to this day. I always blamed myself entirely and promised id never end up like that.Tonight I realised I already had a while back.Lockdowns and covid restrictions made me bored I guess. Bored enough to forget how damaging gambling had been and in fact how much pain it caused me in the past. I signed up to a bingo site, £20 isn’t too harmful. I won a jackpot. Incredible I could finally pay off some debt I had over lockdown and I seriously couldn’t stop thinking how lucky and thankful I was.My family congratulated me, jokingly said “be careful don’t be silly, it’s too easy to fall into it, don’t chase money” and I confidently said nope, no, I know what I’m doing. Seen it before, I know I won’t be like that. Not me, im so careful with money…Now I can’t stop.I’ve restricted the account, but I keep making new ones on different sites. I always restrict them after I lose again, £10, £20, £50 here and there adds up. I never break even, which is rare. Even if i win i keep most of it in the account to play with. Might be on a roll…well its only £50 ill withdraw what I put in. Then just end up depositing it again.. and again, I can’t keep up with the maths to even know how badly I’m losing anymore.I felt empty. I kept just depositing more expecting to feel something, like id accomplished anything. I just felt numb. I even started just playing stupid stakes to watch the money disappear? I just didn’t feel a thing. Yet I can’t stop. Even deposit limits don’t matter when I’m waiting until midnight to add more. Its tonight that I realised I have a problem, its been buried for a while and I unlocked something in me that was dormant. So I’ve restricted, a lot. And ive found you all. I’m sorry for the venting for not much detail but I’ve already lost more than id of ever won. I’ve spent double what I was happy to have won the first time in the space of just the last week. Nevermind all the money I won and never withdrew, counting that I’ve probably lost triple.. I’m already lying to my partner about it. “Oh i have bonus money” “oh I had left over money from last time”Im getting snappy and irritable too, I zone out and stop replying to him when I’m playing. If he distracts me during a game I just cut him off and snap at him and I realised it today, and I actually feel sick at myself. He plays his own app game thats a strategy game so we sometimes don’t talk much anyway. I tried justifying my spending as he puts in money to his game too, so now we both had a game. Ive never really played much games myself, until now.I felt enraged that he tried to speak to me. I realised how truly dangerous it become. I was almost angry at him for being around me and taking my focus away, but felt nothing if I won or lost on those games anyway.I’m just horrified by how quickly this settled in so I’m really hoping I can stop now before I ruin everything, not just financially.Im really hoping I can do better.
